Guess who's back?
Back again.
Shady's back - tell a friend.

According to a report filed with the Kuala Lumpur stock exchange by Group Lotus owners DRB-Hicom, Dany Bahar has made good on his earlier promises to sue the company for unfair dismissal.

Bahar is suing Lotus for £6.7 million relating to what he claims was his unfair dismissal from the role of CEO in June. DRB-Hicom have filed counter-claims against Bahar.

"DB [Bahar] was dismissed after an investigation into his stewardship of Lotus. We believe we have acted properly at all times," DHB-Hicom said in a statement.

With no court date yet set, this is a story that will run and run.

We need a little controversy
'Cause it feels so empty without me.

This man does not know how to slip quietly into the shadows...

Some people were born to the spotlight...

True but that's at least partly because he believes he's in the right. He (appears to) genuinely think his plans for Lotus would have worked.

Many people thought he was nuts for even proposing such a plan but it's easy to give him credit for sticking by his ideas as much as possible.

He wasn't sacked for his ambitious plans.

True. Though we don't (and will probably never) know whether Group Lotus went looking for financial irregularities because they didn't like his plans or whether they were the entire source of his sacking - could go either way from the limited information I've seen.

But I still say that the reason he doesn't slip quietly into the shadows is as I mentioned above.

Speak for yourself! The reason is actually fairly common knowledge in the motorsport/automotive world, but it's not the sort of thing anyone would commit to print until after the various suits and counter-suits have been heard.

But it's not related to his plans for the car range.

This will be partially about lost earnings, but mainly about ego. Men like that cannot accept that they have erred or failed, and react badly to being canned.

The insanity of what was going down at Hethel was obvious to all bar Bahar...

...if you repeat "bar Bahar" at speed it sounds much like the jingle for the company that runs the adds in cinemas...
