What with the forthcoming engine spec change, we're going to see all manner of marques linked with F1 - brace yourself for the Delage rumours, the Hispano-Suiza spin, and the Invicta mutterings.
And why not? It's about as likely that we'll see any of those brands in F1 as it is the seemingly endless list of struggling car makers who have been associated with the sport in recent months.
If you do stumble across a Ford rumour, dismiss it immediately.
Not only do Ford have a less than successful F1 history, but the marque is currently struggling to fight its way back from a 29 percent decline in European sales from 2011. The average industry fall was 9 percent, less than a third of that reported by Ford.
Sounds like they're in a great place to start investing in a new motorsport venture, doesn't it?
